Some differences between ActivStudio and ActivInspire:

Some big differences:
ActivExpression is seemlessly integrated into the software and the student database makes it easy for various classes to register their devices (middle/high school settings)
More user friendly and looks more like other applications that we are used to seeing
Browsers
Spellchecker
Handwriting recognition
Multiple customizable toolbar profiles
Import from SMART Notebook
Additional resources in the Shared Resource Library
New tools: Connector Tool (objects stay connected when they are moved), Shapes Tool/Edit Shape Points, Magic Ink
Eraser is an actual eraser
Snapshots can be taken while playing embedded videos
Dual pen will be available soon; two students (or a teacher and a student) will be able to work on the board simultaneously!
Ctrl/J if you lose your toolbar or menu on the top.

There is also a great PDF file (about 36pages) in the Migration to ActivInspire class under ActivLearning. It is a free class and the PDF talks about the differences between the programs.
